A real inspiration for those of us in the hobby and into diorama building. The scenes are very detailed and full of realism. Hope to someday achieve this level of expertise. I also host a modest blog, but nothing close to this level of professionalism!

Great Site, Great way to honor those who have served. Hoorah.

Wow! I never thought people did this... thats really cool. I need to do a project for U.S. history on anything between 1872-1900 and I thought about doing it on a war. One of the threre things we need is a 3-D model and I thought about doing something close to this ( paint toy soldiers and make surroundings etc.), but now I think it might be too much since its due on september 25, 2009 haha ( it still gave me some new ideas / inspiration so i'm still going to try ). But this is really cool this was one of those things that I never really thought about or knew it existed as a hobby. Anyways, again, I found this to be really cool / interesting. Really good work.
Best Regards and God Bless,
Daniel

Nick, these are absolutely amazing. I am impressed! You have always been such the talented one
God bless you! Karen:)

Hello Jonathan,
I can relate to what you are going through because I got into building because of the same reason. Chronic Pain! Since 2000 I have been suffering and I also needed something to take my mind off of all of the pain.
Getting back to your question; Yes, I build my buildings totally from scratch. No kits for me. Get yourself some blue or redish color styrofoam from Lowes or Home Depot and use that material. The rest is up to you. I do not make it a habit to show step by step procedures in scratch building, sorry. There are a lot of scratch builders on the web that can show you how. If you have talent, then scracth building will work for you. Good luck and get well.

jonathan says...Hello, my name is Jonathan Teuton and I am very insterested in constructng models that are 1:35 scale. I have cronic pains from resent operations and I think this would be a great way to focus on something positive and allow my body to heal without leaving the house. I don't have much money because all my savings go towards my medical bills and college fund, but I would love to build dioramas from scratch. I was wondering if you could instruct me on how to build such detailed buildings? Is the entire building made from scratch or is their a kit I need to buy? Thank you for your time and God bless!
